FIRE services spent more than three hours tackling a fire at a stables in Dunfermline on Friday night.

Four engines were called out to deal with the blaze at around 7.31pm at Buckieburn Stables near Halbeath.

There were no casualties as a result of the fire which took hold in a farm building.

A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 7.31pm on Friday, July 10 to reports of a fire at Buckieburn Stables, Halbeath.

"Four fire appliances were mobilised to the scene, where crews extinguished a well-developed fire within a farm building.

"There were no casualties.

"The last appliance left the scene at 10.53pm.”
