A DISTURBANCE in Dunfermline led to a man being arrested for kicking his partner’s door.

After a drinking session, David Allan wanted to pick up his work clothes and lost his temper when he was not allowed in.

Allan (37), of Dockyard Digs, Rosyth, appeared in the dock at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.

He admitted that on May 16 at an address in Dunfermline, he repeatedly shouted, swore, acted in an aggressive manner and repeatedly kicked at a door. The offence was aggravated by domestic abuse.

Depute fiscal Azrah Yousaf said the couple had been together for three years but had separated three weeks before the offence.

Police had received two phone calls from Allan’s partner that night.

On the second occasion they found Allan there, clearly under the influence of alcohol.

He was shouting, swearing and calling her a “f****** bitch”, added the depute.

Defence solicitor Gordon Martin said his client had gone to the house to pick up his work clothes and security pass for Amazon as he was supposed to be working at 5am the next day.

“He accepts he lost his temper when she wouldn’t let him in,” he went on.

He added that his client had lost his job after being arrested but had now found another one.

“They had been drinking and there had been a fall-out. They appear to have reconciled,” said Mr Martin.

The court heard that Allan had a High Court conviction from 2007 but Mr Martin said his client had been “trying to keep his nose clean” since moving from Glasgow to Fife.

Sheriff Charles Macnair fined Allan £640.
