A SHOPLIFTER was caught stealing hair straighteners from a shop in Dunfermline’s Kingsgate Centre having been barred from entering the shopping centre.
The culprit was Richard Martin, 44, of James Street, Dunfermline.
He appeared at Dunfermline Sheriff Court and admitted that on February 10 at Boots store, Kingsgate Centre, he stole a pair of hair straighteners.
He also admitted he breached a bail condition not to enter the Kingsgate Centre.
Sheriff Alastair Brown said he was considering putting Martin on supervision.
However, having been told by defence solicitor Alexander Flett that his client was already on a supervision order for a previous offence, the sheriff admonished Martin.
