A 61-YEAR-OLD man from Rosyth has died following a serious road crash on Friday morning.
Police have confirmed that Frank MacFarlane was travelling on the A985 at around 5.35am when the incident took place.
He was driving between Cairneyhill roundabout and Kincardine when his blue BMW 3 series left the road and struck a wall.
He was then taken by ambulance to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary where he sadly passed away on Saturday.
Police are now appealing for any witnesses or those who may have video evidence of the crash to come forward.
Sergeant Alastair Purvis, of Fife Road Policing said: “Our thoughts remain with the family and friends of Mr MacFarlane at this difficult time.
“Enquiries into the incident are ongoing. We would urge anybody who was driving on the road and may have dashcam footage or witnessed the incident to contact police.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting incident 0492 of July 31.
