A CHARITY cyclist taking on an epic 5,000 miles journey around the coast of Britain stopped for a visit at a West Fife care home which is supporting his cause.

Bandrum Nursing Home in Saline have got behind Ryan Anderton who is hoping his magnificent feat will raise a shed load of cash for a group of charities.

He stopped by on his travels and the staff and residents gave him some much needed encouragement before waving him off on the next leg of his journey.

On July 12 #ItsWorthTalkingAbout co-founder Ryan set off from Keighley on a 5,000 miles, 40 days cycling challenge, raising money for Mental Health Foundation, NHS Charities Together, Children’s Heart Surgery Fund, Everton in the Community & Hammersley Homes.

Rachel Payne, managing director of Bandrum, said: “I was interested in supporting Ryan as the causes are so very important and now more than ever we need to look after our own and our community's mental health and well-being.

“When Ryan came to visit he had already completed 120 miles that day cycling from Stonehaven, and then was cycling over to Edinburgh for the night.

“I was over the moon to hear all of his donations will be doubled by a supporter so the £100 Bandrum gave him will be matched resulting in a total of £200.”
