HAYS Travel has assured the Scottish Parliament of the future of its Dunfermline branch and others across Scotland.

The travel agency that rescued Thomas Cook stated they had no plans to close any shops and would look to keep the majority of its jobs.

Most of the potential redundancies are in the company’s foreign currency division, where, with fewer holidays going ahead, there has been less work.

The company had been contacted by a number of MSPs, including Dunfermline's Shirley-Anne Somerville, who raised concerns over its future.
