A FIFE man helped himself to alcohol worth more than £300 from a shop in Kincardine.
The thief, 28-year-old Kyle Bowes, of Queens Crescent, Markinch, has now been sentenced at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.
He previously admitted that on January 11, at the Co-op store, Silver Street, he stole a quantity of alcohol.
Depute fiscal Dev Kapadia said: “The items stolen were £315 worth of alcohol and there was no recovery.”
Bowes was not in court but represented by a solicitor.
Sheriff Derek Reekie imposed a fine of £520 but as Bowes is behind bars for other offences, he jailed him for 14 days for the shoplifting as an alternative.
