THERE are plans to turn an empty shop in Dalgety Bay into a restaurant and hot food takeaway.
London & Cambridge Properties have applied to Fife Council for permission to change the use of the premises at 1 Moray Way North.
Previously a convenience store and licensed cafe, the shutters came down after it closed and now the owners hope to try something new.
A planning statement on behalf of the company said the proposal for a restaurant and takeaway would result in the reuse of premises that "have been vacant for some time" and "provide a range of economic benefits".
It said the company would invest in the premises and create jobs.
It's one of a parade of shops on Moray Way North – there are 11 units in the local centre including a dental practice, estate agent, vets surgery, hairdresser, funeral director and hot food takeaways.
The agent added: "The nature of the proposed use would have no direct impact on the operation of these premises nor indeed any other use within the local centre."
