A DUNFERMLINE man has been sentenced for assaulting his partner on two occasions.
Ryan Smith, 31, of Barrie Street, appeared at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.
He previously admitted that on December 6, at his home, he assaulted his partner by seizing her by the body, pinning her to a chair and seizing her by the neck.
He also admitted that on June 2, at the same address, he assaulted the same woman by restraining her against a wall.
Sheriff Alastair Brown told Smith: “You need to change and I’m going to give you the chance to do that.”
He imposed a community payback order with two years' supervision and participation in the Caledonian Programme for domestic abuse offenders.
