A DUNFERMLINE man who repeatedly ignored court orders not to contact his partner has been jailed for a year.

Instead of adhering to the order, Andrew Wilson met up with the woman he was banned from seeing having previously assaulted her.

Andrew Wilson, 43, of Inchkeith Drive, appeared via a video-link from Perth prison, admitting a string of offences.

He admitted that having been placed on a non-harassment order on December 18, he breached this on various occasions between May 5-20, when he contacted the woman, met up with her and verbally abused her.

He admitted that having been granted bail on February 20, he breached the conditions between May 5-20 when he contacted her repeatedly in person and by phone.

On July 8, at the Royal Bank of Scotland, East Port, he was in the company of the woman, breaching the conditions.

He also admitted that having been granted bail on February 18, he breached the conditions on August 24 at his home when he was again in contact with her.

He had also admitted previously that on November 19, at an address in Dunfermline, he assaulted the woman by striking her on the head to her injury.

Depute fiscal Jill Currie said that the assault had left the complainer with a bruised eye.

Wilson told police later: “Aye I did her. She was doing my heid in.”

Defence solicitor Gordon Martin said: “They both rely on each other. Each of them turn up at the other’s door. She was more guilty of that than he is.”

Sheriff Charles Macnair jailed Wilson for 12 months.
