A GUEST left without paying a bill of more than £300 at a North Queensferry hotel.
Douglas Swan, 44, of Knockhouse Road, Crossford, has now been sentenced at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.
He will have to pay the unpaid bill and a fine on top of that.
Swan admitted that between August 3-4, at the Double Tree Hilton, North Queensferry, he left the hotel without paying and intending not to pay.
Depute fiscal Jill Currie said Swan was staying at the hotel with a female companion. She asked for a taxi to be called and left the hotel at around 5.30am.
Earlier, they had been ordering alcohol through room service. At one point, they also required a replacement key after locking themselves out of their room.
Later, Swan also left, making no attempt to pay his bill and police were contacted.
Sheriff Alastair Brown fined Swan £140 and ordered him to pay £323.40 compensation to the hotel.
