AN ICONIC former nightclub building in Dunfermline is expected to be sold after a bid was accepted recently.

The Press told you in June that Johnson's had been put up for sale for offers over £650,000 after the owners called it quits in November 2017.

'Jiggies' and its neighbouring Pilmuir Street premises were listed online by Edinburgh-based Amazing Results Estates Agents and it appears they have now found a buyer.

The estate agent described the opportunity as one that "cannot fail to impress" and that seems to be the case with the property now sold subject to contract.

The buyer will get their hands on the stone-built C-listed building at 6-8 Pilmuir Street which features the former nightclub and amusement arcade, as well as a fully-refurbished three-bedroom double upper flat at number 10.

They will also be acquiring the substantial ground-floor store at number 12 with shared courtyard areas and shop at number 14.

The parking area to the rear of all the buildings – with access off Carnegie Drive – was also included in the sale.

A statement on behalf of Amazing Results said that the site was "suitable for a variety of uses and the perfect location for potential residential, commercial and/or leisure opportunities".

The listing continued: "The principle building at 6-8 Pilmuir Street is a C-listed stone-built three-storey property with the ground floor, mezzanine and first floor.

“The second floor comprises some eight rooms with en-suite, bathrooms and small stores currently in an uninhabitable condition.

“Number 10 Pilmuir Street is a double upper flat that has been recently completely refurbished and attractively modernised comprising small courtyard entrance, hall, lounge, kitchen/dining, three bedrooms, box rooms and bathroom with four-piece suite.

“Number 12 is currently a ground-floor store with frontage to Pilmuir Street.

"Number 14 Pilmuir Street is a shop premises incorporating sales, stores, staff and toilet areas.

“In addition to the above, there is a rare, uniquely beneficial and generous secure car-parking area entered from Carnegie Drive backing onto 6-8/10/12 via an inner courtyard and also a rear exit and delivery door to number 14."
