A DUNFERMLINE man drove when more than four times over the limit and then punched a police officer.

Dale Wilson, 29, of Blake Street, appeared in the dock at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.
He admitted that on June 22, at Halkett Crescent, Dunfermline, he drove after consuming excess alcohol.

His reading was 91 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, the legal limit being 22 microgrammes.

He also admitted that at Halkett Crescent he assaulted a police constable by punching him on the head.

Sheriff Charles Macnair called for reports and Wilson will be sentenced on October 14. A temporary driving ban has been imposed until then.
