A MAN and woman were taken to hospital after a serious crash on the A909 Kelty to Cowdenbeath road on Friday. Police have now issued an appeal for witnesses to the incident involving a blue Ford Mondeo and a black motorbike which took place just before midday.
Emergency services raced to the scene near the junction with Gray Park, Cowdenbeath, and the driver and passenger of the bike, a 66-year-old man and a 64-year-old woman, were taken to the Victoria Hospital.
The road was closed until 5.45pm to allow officers to carry out an investigation.
Road Policing Sergeant Stephen Quinn said: "Our enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of the crash. I am appealing to anyone who witnessed the crash but has not yet spoken to police to come forward.
"I am particularly keen to speak to anyone who may have a dash-cam and saw either of the vehicles prior to the crash. Please check back and see if there is any footage which could help with our enquiries."
Information can be provided to Police Scotland's Road Policing Unit via 101, quoting incident number 1329 of 18 September.
