IT WAS a bridge too low for a Fife Council lorry after it crashed in Oakley on Monday.
Station Road was closed for hours after the skip loader hit the 12-foot tall railway bridge.
It became jammed underneath at around 11am with emergency services called out to assess the damage and aid the recovery.
Fife Council confirmed an investigation into the incident was now taking place.
Tom Henderson, service manager, stated: “Thankfully, no-one was hurt and the incident is now being investigated.”
A Police Scotland spokesperson added: “Around 10.55am on Monday, police were called to a report of a skip lorry stuck under a bridge in Station Road, Oakley.
“Emergency services attended and the vehicle was recovered.”
