A DRINK-DRIVER, more than three times over the limit, crashed his car in Dunfermline after leaving a party.
As a result, Antony Little, 20, of Westburn, Middlefield, Edinburgh, appeared at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.
He admitted that on June 20, in St Leonard's Street, Dunfermline, he drove a car having consumed excess alcohol. His reading was 74 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, the legal limit being 22 microgrammes.
Depute fiscal Jill Currie said police officers on routine patrol came across the incident at 9.55pm.
Little’s car had left the road, collided with railings and he was now standing on the pavement.
The court was told Little had been planning to stay at a friend’s house where he had been drinking but decided to take a chance by driving home.
Sheriff Charles Macnair commented: “This was a high reading.” He fined Little £520 and banned him from driving for 16 months.
