NHS FIFE have confirmed an additional positive case linked to Pitreavie Primary School, bringing the total to four cases.

All identified contacts within the school are already self-isolating.

Children from three classes were asked to self isolate last month.

The health board confirmed an individual linked to Pitreavie Primary had tested positive for COVID-19 on September 28.

A statement then said: "The positive case is currently isolating at home with other household members.

"As a precaution, all children in orange, blue and yellow rooms are being asked not to attend school tomorrow (29/09) and should self-isolate until Wednesday, 7 October 2020 and return to school and other activities on Thursday 8 October 2020.

"There is no evidence to suggest any onward transmission within the school at this stage and the risk to pupils and staff appears to be low."

Officials have also confirmed today (Monday) four more cases linked to Carnegie Primary School have been identified.

Any contacts within the school are already self-isolating.
