B&M has announced it is set to open a new store in Dunfermline.

The discount retailer has taken possession of the former Poundland and Co-op site in the Kingsgate Shopping Centre.

The store will undergo extensive internal and external refurbishment programme before it opens at the end of next month and create West Fife jobs.

Although the company has not confirmed how many positions will be available, it has started recruiting for the new team on its website.

The store will open its doors officially at 9am on Monday, November 30.

Customers can expect to find a wide variety of branded products including toys, food and drink, a pet goods range, health and beauty and homeware.

A spokesperson from B&M said: “We’re feeling really positive about the creation of more jobs for local people and we hope customers are going to be delighted with their new store.

“We are all really excited to get the doors open and welcome our new customers through the door next month.”
