A DUNFERMLINE man has been fined after he admitted stealing items from a building site.
The plastic piping was not of much value but Lee Birkett will now have to pay £210 for his actions.
Birkett, 39, of Aberdour Crescent, appeared for sentencing at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.
He admitted that on June at Pitreavie Nursery building site, Aberdour Road, he stole a quantity of building materials.
The court was told that the goods stolen were pieces of plastic piping.
Birkett was seen throwing the piping over a fence at the site and then hiding it in a garden.
Defence solicitor Gordon Martin said the items stolen were only worth £5 and were fully recovered.
