A MAN who was arrested after he was detained by a property owner has been charged.
Michael Torrance, 36, of Norfolk Road, Penrith, is due to appear at North and West Cumbria Magistrates' Court in Carlisle today, charged with three counts of burglary.
Police said the charges relate to burglaries at three properties in the Maidenhill area of Penrith.
Officers were called at about 5.10am this morning after the owner of a nearby property detained the man and raised the alarm.
