JUST one area in West Fife recorded the highest number of positive coronavirus rates in the past seven days.
Kelty East was the only neighbourhood in the area which was in the highest category for positive cases in the weekly figures released by Public Health Scotland (PHS).
In the seven-day period from October 17 to 24, Kelty East – with a total of 17 positive cases – (highlighted red) was included in the highest rating where the number of positive cases in the past seven days gave them a rate of 100-plus per 100,000 population.
The interactive map from PHS shows that three areas in West Fife were included in the next category where there were 75-99 cases per 100,000 population.
All reporting one to four cases, these areas were:
Dalgety Bay Central
Dunfermline Brucefield
Dunfermline Pitcorthie West.
Included in the 50-74 per 100,000 population, and all recording between one and four cases, were:
Dunfermline Duloch South
Dunfermline Headwell
Dunfermline Milesmark and Wellwood
Dunfermline Pitcorthie East
Rosyth South
Valleyfield, Culross and Torryburn.
Included in the category for 30-49 cases per 100,000 population and also having one to four cases, were:
Dalgety Bay West and Hillend
Dunfermline Abbeyview South
Dunfermline Garvock Hill
Inverkeithing East
Kelty West
Kincardine
North Queensferry and Inverkeithing West
Rosyth East
Rosyth West
The second lowest rating, for 15-29 cases per 100,000 population, also included five West Fife neighbourhoods who had between one and four cases. They were:
Aberdour and Auchtertool
Crossford, Charlestown and Limekilns
Crossgates and Halbeath
Dunfermline Bellyeoman and Townhill
Oakley, Comrie and Blairhall.
The following areas reported zero cases:
Cairneyhill and Crombie
Dalgety Bay East
Dunfermline Abbeyview North
Dunfermline Baldridgeburn
Dunfermline Central
Dunfermline Duloch North and Lynebank
Dunfermline Masterton
Dunfermline Touch and Woodmill
Rosyth Central.
