A TALENTED Rosyth make-up artist’s Tiger King looks have gone viral after she transformed herself into famous figures from the hit Netflix show.

Shannon Burt’s versions of Joe Exotic and Carole Baskin are so convincing that she even spooked her little brother!

The 22-year-old, who works for Lime Salon, hasn’t been able to create any wacky looks for Hallowe’en this year so she has been brushing up on her incredible skills using her own face as the canvas.

Shannon was inspired to transform into controversial figures Joe and Carole after becoming a superfan of the Tiger King TV show during lockdown.

She told the Press: “Me and my dad watched the show together and we just had a lot of fun – it was a big laugh for us. I’ve never painted myself as a character before but when I was walking past the mirror I didn’t even recognise myself!

“I even scared my little brother! I should have been fully booked for Hallowe’en and I had a lot of fun make-up looks planned for my clients so it’s been absolutely gutting that I can’t do that.

“I’m just glad I have my own face to work on! What’s great about make-up is there are no boundaries – nobody can tell you what to do and you can even turn yourself into a man! It’s given me self-belief and made me trust myself as I had no idea that this was going to happen.”

After the attention her creations received, Shannon’s week was made even better when she won a Superdrug Hallowe’en competition for her Tiger look!

“I feel like I have been living in a bubble this week!” Shannon said. “It’s been a hard time not being able to work as a make-up artist so this is great.

“It’s been particularly great getting the comments from my clients and I’ve realised how much I’ve missed it. Since March, I have not been able to work but my boss has been amazing and has found other things for me to do.

“I first trained as a hairdresser at Lime Salon but they put me through my qualifications when they saw I could do make-up. I was always the arty one at school so I took a Higher in the subject. It’s so good that I’ve been able to do still be creative in my job and I love transforming myself.”
