A MAN was chased from outside a Dunfermline nightclub and attacked in the street.

Jordan McKibben appeared in the dock at Dunfermline Sheriff Court as a result of the violence.

McKibben, 21, of Park View Terrace, Inverkeithing, admitted that on May 25 last year, at Canmore Street, Dunfermline, he assaulted his victim by pinning him to the ground and punching him on the head repeatedly, all to his injury.

Depute fiscal Azrah Yousaf said the complainer had left Life nightclub at around 2am.

There had been “issues with four or five customers” earlier, she added.

When he left, he was chased along the road by a group including McKibben, who caught up with him and assaulted him.

The victim was pinned to the ground and punched repeatedly to the head. Part of the incident was caught on CCTV.

The victim was taken to the Victoria Hospital by ambulance for a check-up.

Defence solicitor James Moncrieff said his client had been out socialising with friends when the incident occurred.

Sheriff Charles Macnair fined McKibben £200 and ordered him to pay £200 compensation to the victim.
