A ROSYTH teenager attacked a pal in a row over an unpaid debt.

Jamie Kellock, 19, of Admiralty Road, appeared at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.

He admitted that on April 1, at Spencerfield Road, Inverkeithing, he assaulted his friend by kicking him on the body and punching him repeatedly on the face to his injury.

Depute fiscal Azrah Yousaf said: “The two of them were friends and the complainer had borrowed money from the accused.”

The money had not been paid back when Kellock expected it would be, leading him to confront his friend in the street.

“He jump-kicked him then started punching him on the head,” added the depute.

A passing postman had intervened and Kellock ran off. The victim sustained a cut near his eye.

Defence solicitor James Moncrieff said insults had been exchanged online about the money before the incident. “He then saw him and lost his temper,” he added.

Sheriff Charles Macnair fined Kellock £210 and ordered him to pay £200 compensation.
