THIRTEEN neighbourhoods in West Fife recorded the highest number of positive coronavirus rates in the past week.

Valleyfield, Culross and Torryburn had the most with a total of 20 people testing positive.

An interactive map from Public Health Scotland reveals hotspots in the area for the period from November 7 until November 13.

It shows the number of cases per 100,000 population and is broken down into different neighbourhoods.

Last week, Fife was placed in tier three on Friday because of the rising number of cases.

NHS Fife chairperson Tricia Marwick said the introduction of the increased regulations followed close monitoring of the area's data and should be seen as a "stark warning" to Fifers.
