POLICE are stepping up patrols near Queen Anne High School in Dunfermline after complaints from local residents about anti-social behaviour.

Concerns were raised about trouble on the paths between Carswell Place and Pilmuir Street with officers receiving reports of "youth disorder" in the area.

Jill Moss, the community inspector for Dunfermline, said: "Enquiries are ongoing to trace those involved.

"Where it is clear to us that there is an issue in a particular area, we will devote the appropriate resources.

"There will be dedicated patrols over the coming weekends to tackle anti-social behaviour in the town.

"If you are victim of or witness to this type of behaviour then please report it to the police by calling 101."
