Dunfermline Foodbank is to launch the brand new B&M Store in the Kingsgate Shopping Centre next week.

The new store is set to open its doors for the first time on Monday (November 30) at 9am, creating more than 30 new jobs.

New colleagues were asked to nominate a local charity they think truly deserves some VIP treatment for the work they do for the local community. and they chose the team from Dunfermline Foodbank who will be taking centre stage to officially unveil the new B&M store.

Dunfermline Foodbank are a project founded charity, founded by local churches and community groups who work together to tackle food poverty and hunger in the local area. The charity provides three-day nutritionally balanced emergency food and support to local people who are referred to them in crisis.

In addition to opening the store, the team will also receive £250 worth of B&M vouchers to go towards supporting the local people of Dunfermline.

The store manager said: “Dunfermline Foodbank really stood out for us so we wanted to give them some VIP treatment as a thank you for all the hard work that they have done and continue to do.

"We hope that our donation can help them to continue the great work.

“Our colleagues have been working really hard to get the store ready for opening day, we can’t wait to get the doors open on Monday and show customers their brand new B&M.”
