AN INVERKEITHING man with “a truly deplorable record” over the past 15 years has returned to court.
Anthony Morgan, 46, of Manse Road, appeared in the dock at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.
He admitted that on November 10, at Tesco, Queensferry Road, Rosyth, he stole a bottle of vodka and a bottle of gin.
Defence solicitor Alexander Flett said: “There’s a reason why things went off the rails.”
Looking at Morgan’s previous convictions, Sheriff Charles Macnair replied: “He’s been off the rails for the past 15 years. I don’t know if he’s ever been on the rails.”
The sheriff told Morgan: “You have a truly deplorable record. You’ve been offending for 15 years almost uninterrupted.”
He called for reports and Morgan will be sentenced on January 6.
