A DUNFERMLINE man who attacked staff at a supermarket has been jailed.

George Fisher spat on employees, tried to bite them, tried to punch one of them and made threats to stab them.

The incident took place at the Aldi store in Halbeath Road.

Fisher, 33, of Law Road, appeared from custody at Dunfermline Sheriff Court and admitted a string of charges.

On November 18, at Aldi, Halbeath Road, he assaulted a worker by spitting on him repeatedly and attempting to bite him.

Fisher is also accused of assaulting another man by striking him on the arm.

He assaulted another employee by charging towards him, attempting to punch him on the head repeatedly, spitting on him repeatedly and attempting to bite him.

Fisher also admitted he shouted and swore at employees then threatened to stab one of them.

The court heard Fisher had a history of drug misuse.

Sheriff Alastair Brown jailed Fisher for eight months.
