A MOTORIST whose erratic driving near Dunfermline caused a motorway crash has been hit with a ban.
Andrew Herd was not present at Dunfermline Sheriff Court but a guilty plea was submitted by his solicitor.
Herd, 31, of Stewart Street, Dysart, admitted that on October 8, 2019, on the M90 northbound, near Dunfermline, he drove a van dangerously.
He drove repeatedly in an erratic manner between lanes, collided with a car, causing the driver to lose control, collided with the central reservation barrier and drove into the path of another vehicle, causing the driver to take evasive action.
Sheriff Alastair Brown called for reports and Herd will be sentenced on February 3. The sheriff imposed a temporary driving ban until then.
