THE problem of ‘boy racers’ in North Queensferry was raised at a meeting last week.
There have been regular complaints and chairman of the village’s community council, Iain Mitchell, advised anyone who witnessed it to report it to the police.
At the meeting he said that, while it would “yield no action whatsoever”, more reports and recording of car licence plates would strengthen the argument that something should be done.
Villagers heard there were only 10 calls to the police about issues in North Queensferry in January and only one required an emergency response.
The community council was given a written report – Mr Mitchell said that, apparently, Police Scotland cannot use Zoom – about crime in the village last month.
During the same period, two crime files were recorded for the area, which contained a total of three charges.
Offences recorded included assault and fraud.
