ONE end of Foundry Street in Dunfermline will be shut to traffic for two weeks to allow for sewer connection works to be carried out as part of the Pilmuir Works development.

Fife Council have issued a temporary closure order which will be operational from Monday March 1 to 14, but this could be earlier if works are completed.

The closure of Foundry Street will be from Pilmuir Street to David Henderson Court.

The alternative route for traffic will be via Winterthur Lane and Pilmuir Street.

Traffic will be permitted on Foundry Street between David Henderson Court and Mill Street to facilitate the alternative route.

Residents and pedestrians will still be able to get access.

Byzantian Developments Ltd are converting the grade A listed Pilmuir Works, the former Duracord factory, into 157 apartments and 10,000 square feet of commercial units.
