THREE people were taken to hospital after a crash on a busy West Fife road on Friday.
Two cars were involved in the collision on the A985 near Limekilns at around 1.25pm.
The severity of the injuries sustained in the incident is unknown.
Emergency crews raced to the scene with ambulance, police and fire services all in attendance.
Police closed the route in both directions and motorists were asked to use alternate routes until it was able to re-open again just before 4pm.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We were called around 1.25pm on Friday, March 26, to a report of a two car crash on the A985 near Limekilns.
"Three people were taken to hospital.
"The road was closed and reopened around 3.50pm."
