A 61-YEAR-OLD Crossgates man was caught sending indecent images to what he thought were two schoolgirls aged 12 and 13.

In fact, the depraved photos and videos sent by Nicholas Denison went straight to a police officer.

Denison, 61, of Baxter Road, was caught in a police sting operation and appeared in the dock at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.

He admitted that between January 15 and February 4, via a social media messaging service Kik, he repeatedly sent images of his erect penis and videos of a pornographic nature to a police officer posing as a 13-year-old girl.

Between January 8 and February 16, he repeatedly sent images of his erect penis and videos of a pornographic nature to a police officer posing as a 12-year-old girl.

Defence solicitor Mark Harrower said his client was “deeply ashamed” of his actions.

Sheriff Charles Macnair was given a letter written by Denison’s wife.

The sheriff called for reports and Denison will be sentenced on June 9. He was placed on the sex offenders' register until then.
