LAST weekend, we were all left shocked and repulsed by the abominable graffiti scrawled on a memorial for lost babies and other headstones at Dunfermline Cemetery.

These vile individuals can have no conscience nor any thought of the untold pain this despicable act would cause to the families of those loved ones whose memorials were defaced so cruelly.

The Press took a decision not to publish the images of the graffiti, so as not to add to the upset of these families or give these idiots any further publicity for their moronic actions.

But we do have to report it - and demand action that this never happen again - which we do on tomorrow's front page.

Please, let them rest in peace.
