NHS Fife officials have confirmed positive coronavirus cases linked to six West Fife schools.

From May 3 May to yesterday (Sunday), five or more individuals at the following schools were required to isolate after contact with a positive case:

Inverkeithing High School.

Inzievar Primary School, Oakley.

King's Road Primary School, Rosyth.

St Columba's RC High School, Dunfermline.

Woodmill High School, Dunfermline.

The NHS update lists where a case has occurred in pupils or staff who are attending the school, and where five or more school contacts have been required to isolate after contact tracing has taken place.

Where less than five potential contacts have been identified, these cases will not be included for reasons of pupil/ staff confidentiality.

Also tonight (Monday), it's been confirmed an individual with links to Dunfermline High School has tested positive for COVID-19.

In a letter to parents, the school stated: "Working with NHS Fife Public Health and the Test and Protect Team, we have identified a number of pupils as potential contacts, who should self-isolate as a precautionary measure.

"The parents/carers of any pupil identified as a close contact of the confirmed case will already have been contacted directly. The case is self-isolating.

"We have been working closely with colleagues in NHS Fife and Public Health Scotland and the current situation has been fully risk-assessed.

"Pupils, parents and staff are kindly reminded to respect the confidentiality of individual pupils and staff at this time."
