A MAN sustained severe injuries in an attack in the centre of Dunfermline.
The assault was carried out by Kirkcaldy man Mark McVie.
McVie, 34, of Lawson Gardens, appeared in the dock at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court and submitted a guilty plea.
He admitted that on July 26 last year, at James Street, Dunfermline, he assaulted his victim by punching him repeatedly on the head and body, causing him to fall to the ground and thereafter he punched and kicked him repeatedly to his severe injury.
Sheriff Jamie Gilchrist called for reports and McVie will be sentenced on June 10.
