NO CORONAVIRUS deaths were recorded in Fife in the last week.
The National Records of Scotland's (NRS) latest report shows the data from between May 3 and May 9.
Across Scotland, a total of seven deaths were registered that mentioned COVID-19 on the death certificate, a decrease of 12 deaths from the previous week.
In 2021, there have been 193 people who have died in the NHS Fife Health Board areas with a total of 503 people losing their lives since the beginning of the outbreak in March last year.
The NRS death total is different from the count of deaths published daily by the Scottish Government because the latter is based on deaths of those who have tested positive for COVID-19.
The figures from NRS include all deaths where coronavirus (including suspected cases) was mentioned on the person’s death certificate.
