RESIDENTS of a block of flats in Rosyth had to be evacuated on Sunday morning after a reports of a gas leak.
Emergency services raced to the scene at Caledonia Court just after 11am and police sealed off the entrance to the homes while gas engineers ensured the area was safe.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "We were alerted at 11.10am on Sunday, May 16 to reports of a smell of gas at a block of flats on Caledonia Court, Rosyth.
"Operations Control mobilised one appliance to the scene to evacuate a number of properties and assist gas engineers to make the area safe.
"There were no reported casualties."
Police Scotland confirmed they also responded to a call at 11.10am reporting a smell of gas at a flat in Caledonia Court.
"Utility company attended and matter was resolved," added the spokesperson.
