ONE West Fife neighbourhood recorded a total of 10 coronavirus cases in the last seven days

The weekly figures from Public Health Scotland reveal hotspots in the area for the period from May 9 and May 15.

Between these dates, 146 positive cases were recorded across Fife – 59 more than the previous week.

Three West Fife areas were placed in the 200-399 cases per 100,000 population category. These were Rosyth Central with 10 cases, Dunfermline Duloch South with nine cases and Rosyth South with eight cases.

In the 100-199 cases per 100,000 population category were Dunfermline Duloch and Lynebank (8 cases), Dalgety Bay East (3 cases), Dunfermline Touch and Woodmill (3 cases), Dunfermline Abbeyview North (4 cases) and Rosyth North (3 cases).

Saline and Gowkhall was in the 50-99 cases per 100,000 population with three cases.

All other neighbourhoods in Dunfermline and West Fife recorded suppressed figures with under three cases.

Where a local area has fewer than three positive cases, the actual number of cases and population rate has been suppressed to help protect patient confidentiality and to reduce instances where very small numbers of cases drive high.
