A MINOR incident at a West Fife care home saw four fire crews race to the scene at the weekend.
The alarm was raised after reports of a fire at Bandrum Nursing Home on Saturday.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 7.13pm on Saturday, May 29, to reports of a fire at a nursing home outside Saline.
“Operations Control immediately mobilised four appliances and, on arrival, firefighters found the fire extinguished.
“There were no reported casualties and crews left the scene after ensuring the area was made safe.”
A spokesperson for Bandrum said there was a "minor incident" in the care home which set off the fire alarm automatically.
She added: "The fire service attended the care home which is normal protocol. No-one was injured and there was no need for an evacuation.
"The fire service assessed the situation and re-set the alarm."
