A 39-YEAR-OLD man is to go on trial accused of attacking a woman, knocking her unconscious and tying a piece of material around her neck.
Paul McMullan, 39, a prisoner at Perth, appeared at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court via video-link.
He denies that on January 22, at an address in Dunfermline, he assaulted his former partner by striking her on the head, causing her to fall to the ground, struck her repeatedly on the head and body, rendering her unconscious, and tied a piece of material around her neck, all to her injury.
Sheriff Jamie Gilchrist set a trial for September 13 at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.
