A BLAIRHALL man’s careless driving caused a serious accident which left vehicles damaged badly and a man injured.
The accident happened near the Gartarry roundabout at 8am with Barry Trotter driving into the back of a van, knocking it into a field.
He also struck another vehicle knocking it forward and causing another collision.
Trotter, 41, of Wilson Street, appeared at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.
He admitted that on February 12 last year, on the A907 near to the Gartarry roundabout, he drove a van carelessly, at excessive speed, failed to observe stationary traffic ahead, failed to decrease his speed and collided with the rear of a van, causing it to leave the roadway, go over a grass verge and into a field.
He also collided with another vehicle, causing it to move forward and strike another vehicle, causing extensive damage to all the vehicles and injury to a man.
Sheriff Linda Smith fined Trotter £600 and endorsed his licence with four penalty points.
