ONE person has died in Fife as a result of coronavirus in the last week.

The data from the National Records of Scotland's (NRS) latest report shows one death was recorded between from July 12-18.

There have been 195 people who have died in the NHS Fife Health Board areas in 2021 with a total of 505 people losing their lives since the beginning of the outbreak in March last year.

The NRS death total is different from the count of deaths published daily by the Scottish Government because the latter is based on deaths of those who have tested positive for COVID-19.

The figures from NRS include all deaths where coronavirus (including suspected cases) was mentioned on the person’s death certificate.
