A NEW hot food takeaway could be set to open in Lochgelly if planners give permission.

An application has been lodged with Fife Council seeking to change the site of 25 Bank Street, formerly Pins and Needles, into a hot food takeaway store.

The applicants are proposing opening times of 11am to 11pm, seven days a week, should permission be granted.

External changes would include installation of replacement front door, the creation of a rear door, and installation of roller shutter and flue.
