DUNFERMLINE have made their eighth signing under manager Peter Grant by snapping up defender Rhys Breen.
The 21-year-old, who had been heavily linked with a move to East End, has put pen to paper on a two-year deal after leaving Rangers.
Following Saturday's Premier Sports Cup win over Stenhousemuir, Grant responded to speculation linking him with a move for the former Partick Thistle and Queen of the South loanee by describing him as a "good player".

That belief has brought Breen to the club, and he could make his debut in this weekend's Championship opener at Greenock Morton.
A product of the Ibrox club's youth academy, Breen played six times for Rangers' under-20s in the 2019/20 Challenge Cup before joining Partick on loan at the beginning of last season.
After six appearances for the Firhill club, he then joined Dunfermline's Championship rivals Queen of the South in January, where he played 16 games, including two against the Pars.
At the end of the campaign, Breen then went out on loan to Orange County FC in California but has now signed permanently with Athletic.
He joins Nikolay Todorov, Deniz Mehmet, Dan Pybus, Reece Cole, Kai Kennedy, Ross Graham and Fraser Currie in signing for the club this summer.
They have also been linked with a move for former Dundee midfielder Graham Dorrans, who is currently without a club.
