FIFE Council have granted permission for a new restaurant to be opened in Cowdenbeath.
Papers were lodged with planners back in December 2020 seeking permission to turn the town’s old Coral betting shop into a new eatery, with the green light now being given by Fife Council.
It is currently unclear what type of restaurant will be entering the town.
It is understood that the opening hours will be Sunday to Thursday 10am-11pm and Friday and Saturday 10am-12am.
The proposal states: “The proposed development will see this vacant property transformed into a quality restaurant.
“Access will continue to be via the existing main door direct from the street and will up into the main restaurant.
“On the right hand side is the main bar/servery which will allow customers waiting to be seated to enjoy a drink and also serve as a small waiting area for anyone wishing to take hot food away.
“Immediately beyond the servery is the kitchen and food preparation area. At the rear will be the accessible toilet, male and female toilets, storage, and refuse store with an access door to the rear yard.”
