A WEATHER warning for Fife has been upgraded to Amber by the Met Office.
The weather experts have warned that thunderstorms and heavy rain are expected today with a risk of flooding likely.
The warning says that “flooding of homes and businesses could happen quickly, with damage to some buildings from floodwater, lightning strikes, hail or strong winds”.
It is now anticipated that flooding will occur, with the Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA) putting a flood warning in place for Fife.
The amber alert is in place until 10pm this evening [Tuesday].
