AN elderly Kelty man who sexually assaulted two females has been sentenced.
One of the victims was only 14 at the time.
Francis Connelly, 75, of Clentry Crescent, appeared for sentencing at Dunfermline Sheriff Court, having previously been found guilty at trial.
He was convicted of a charge that between November 30 and December 1, 2019 he communicated indecently with and assaulted a female by making sexual remarks towards her, touching and rubbing her on the body and vagina over her clothing.
He was also found guilty of a charge that on December 1 he sexually assaulted a girl then aged 14 by seizing her by the body, touching her and rubbing her on the body and vagina over her clothing.
Sheriff Alastair Brown said the “root of the problem was that he had far too much to drink.”
He told Connelly: “You’ve got no-one to blame but yourself.”
The sheriff imposed a community payback order with two years of supervision and a three-month restriction of liberty order.
He also put Connelly on the sex offenders register for five years.
