Top Dunfermline piper Dean Saunders is now rubbing shoulders with Hollywood actors after playing happy birthday to Aquaman legend Jason Momoa!

And he admitted the experience at Warner Brothers studio in London last Friday was a ‘pinch me moment’ and one that will live with him for a long time.

Dean was one of five pipers that surprised Jason, who is currently filming the next instalment of the Aquaman series.

He told the Press: “One of the pipers got an email from a producer asking if they would do a surprise rendition of happy birthday for Jason.

"I’m part of a group they posted on asking if anyone would like to join and I’m always up for these experiences.

“Having never seen to the Warner Brother’s studio it was quite surreal being on the set.

"Jason seemed to really love the pipes and he was asking us lots of questions.

"He is a really down to earth guy and we were glad he enjoyed it!”

It’s been a busy time for Dean who is booked up for weddings now that lockdown restrictions have eased.

And he's clearly getting used to rubbing shoulders with the rich and famous as he was also recently at Elstree Film Studios recording for Sky One's ‘A League of their Own’.

The programme featuring Dean is out later this month and he laughed: “I’ve been here, there and everywhere recently.

"The past couple of weeks has been amazing meeting the likes of Romesh Ranganathan, Freddy Flintoff and Jamie Redknapp.

"To be honest I’ve never watched Aquaman but I’m definitely going to watch it now that I’ve got to meet the main man himself!”
